From memory, Swiss chocolate Easter Eggs are differently packaged from those available in the UK although with globalisation this might well have changed a lot since I left! I did promise to show some pics and here is some photographic evidence of what we are finding in the shops now.

Equilibrium
I’ve been reflecting lately on changing (again) my lifestyle. Last year when I was ill I lost some weight but unfortunately put it all back on in the following months. What I really need to do is to change my eating habits (sounds easier than going on (yet) another diet) and increase my physical activities.

Almost
Well we almost celebrated Pancake Day yesterday. I say almost because we finished by having a Crêpes Party with savoury and sweet crêpes. In the end there just wasn’t the time to get it all ready and to be honest my wife and son prefer savoury “pancakes” to sweet ones.
I guess I’m displaying my pancake [...]
Indian Restaurant in Geneva
Yesterday evening we went to the Little India restaurant, close to the mainline station in Geneva, to celebrate David’s birthday.
It was the first time that we ate there but it won’t be the last. Complimentary aperitifs were offered as we chose from the menu (see link above) and we chose the “Menu de dégustation” and [...]

We had a good meal although not as good as previous years. We were [...]

I baked some cakes yesterday. As you can see from the photo I didn’t choose anything complicated and all went well (although I added too much water to the icing mix and the icing was a bit runny).
This could lead to an interesting discussion as here in Switzerland (to the [...]
Home cooking
More or less every Wednesday we go to my in-laws for a visit and a meal.
For many months now my father-in-law has been doing the cooking and it has become an evening of discoveries as he delves into his cookery and recipe books to delight us with yet another delicious meal.
Yesterday evening was a highlight [...]
What a dessert!
This is a repost.
A few days ago we were invited by our daughter and her fiancé for a meal and this is what we had for dessert. It was scumptious (love that word). A fresh fruit salad in a half baby pineapple topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
It was delicious! Thanks Jennifer and Paulo!
