Read the words
Written by Graham Lawrence on March 18, 2008 – 3:37 pmI signed up for ReadTheWords earlier so I can combine pleasure with exploration without even losing focus.
Here is yesterday’s post read out for your listening enjoyment. Although the voice is synthesized it’s not too bad and I can think of several uses for the service.
I need some help from you now (but if you are not quick enough I may already have found a solution). I have made a hostable badge to spread the word to find Robert but I can’t display the code for the badge here in WordPress. It always comes out as executed html even though I enclose it with the right tags. Any ideas?
How do you do it?

Hey,
I saw you posted an audio badge from readthewords.com. I also signed up for the service for personal use. I listened to your audio post and it sounded like chipmunks.
ReadTheWords has fixed this problem….(I was experienceing the same thing) Nowyou can embed a reading and it will work. They changed the bitrate in which the speech was processed. (16 khz to 20khz) Many flash browsers have trouble playing anything lowere than 20khz. Therefore, I reccomend you create the reading again, and all your users will be able to listen to your reading without the chipmunks screaming.
