Well the throat ache I had at the end of last week turned into a full blown infection last Monday and I had sinusitis and an ear infection thrown in for good measure. My doctor put me on antibiotics and in an unbelievably good turn of fate I proceeded to develop a lot of the [...]

Surveillance cameras
I am following the debate on surveillance cameras in the press. I remember a while back that the French are testing cameras that detect road traffic offenses but haven’t gone as far as their English counterparts who also detect Insurance and licensing fraud.
What puts the system well apart from other surveillance systems is the software [...]
Sore throat
I fell ill with a sore throat between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. I wasn’t well enough to go to work so I set off with Aspirin gargarisms and throat pastilles. Unfortunately I don’t feel much better today so I hope it’s not a bacterial infection. I don’t think so because it’s not worse than [...]
Another weekend
I say another weekend but today is Tuesday isn’t it. This means that the weekend ended the day before yesterday but as you might remember I don’t work Mondays anymore since the beginning of the year. As I am at 90% this means longer working days to compensate but it’s all working out rather well.

The weekend!
I can’t think of a better way to get you into shape for the weekend than to show you this video. There are so many things I could say about it but in the end I think it speaks for itself.
I was made aware of it by an article on the BBC’s news website.
Two anecdotes

It lasts about 15 minutes (and is subtitled in Spanish on his site). I foolishly admit that I was drawn to the video because [...]
Easter Monday
A had a strange day today. I’ve moved my photos to the MacBook and wanted to add keywords and get them organized but organizing over 7,000 photos takes a considerable amount of time. I’ve only just finished and it’s way past 8pm.
I had other plans too. I wanted to fix the garden shed as it [...]
Happy Easter
I hope you are enjoying a long weekend. Here in the French speaking part of Switzerland both Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays so I have days off until Tuesday.
Have a relaxing time!
Some distraction for today
While blogwalking I came across this little quiz over at blogthings. So I did it and here it is for what it’s worth.
Your Dosha is Kapha
Calm and grounded, you are not prone to mood swings or anger.
However, once you do get angry, it takes a lot to cool you down.
You tend to think a little [...]
