Some newness

I suppose I was triggered by the news I discovered on Techcrunch this morning that MyBlogLines has been bought by Yahoo. I haven’t read the article yet but when I blogwalked over to Stephanie’s blog I was intrigued by mouseover indications of the most popular links and a few sidebar widgets, and notably one that links to communities of blog visitors and I thought it might be fun to try it out.

The fruit of my labours appear in the sidebar and you are welcome to give them a spin if you so desire. I’m a hopeless tryer out of stuff as far as blog tools and widgets go but due to a discrete web presence most have not really reached critical mass I’m afraid. I’ll just have to see where this goes.

So now I’m off to read the article on the takeover. As Yahoo also has desktop widgets (known as konfabulator widgets before the buyout) maybe they will make a desktop widget too!
