Everything changes and nothing stays the same. I think we all have permanent reminders but don’t always realize them individually.
Back when I was playing online games I met a fine bunch of people that were members of a gaming guild and we have kept contact over the years. I even went to the States a few years back to a gaming convention and met some of them.
We have an online forum and our exchanges were often really interesting and friendly.
We have an online calendar that allows us to say Happy Birthday and it was always nice to get a stream of posts on that special day.
Well last year my birthday was forgotten. No big deal, it happens. I took it in my stride.
It’s just happened again and although it’s not important, it is. Go figure.
The message I get is that it is perhaps time to move along and let these guys get on with their lives. I’m not really playing anymore so we don’t cross paths other than on the forum. I think I’ll just fade away and get on with my life too. I don’t want to make a fuss because it is a little silly of me to react this way. I just get the feeling however that this is the big picture and the overall message. It’s a bit like the old saying “Out of sight, out of mind” isn’t it.

I am sooooooo sorry to have missed your birthday. I missed my friends birthday today despite my cellphone giving me a reminder this morning. I wish my life was less hectic at the moment so I can spend more time with my friends. I will be very sorry if you have to give up blogging because I do pop in a couple of times a week to check if you have updated.
I can’t speak for the others who were once here and no longer comment but I will definitely miss you. If you do decide to close - maybe you will send me a weekly email letting me know what is happening in your part of the world? I would not like our friendship to fall by the wayside and hell, I need free accommodation when I come to Geneva. *grin*
Anyhoo, how did you enjoy your birthday celebrations? I know you would have had a great time with your kids being there and all, but were you spoilt?
Sending you a beeg *hug* and hope to hear from you soon.
I’ve been blogging since last October but it seems a lot longer. You’re right, things move along. I’ve noticed a few blogsites have been closing recently and I think I may wind mine up at same stage soon. I have started a silly blog about learning from tutorials on the net about animation. I may continue with this one for a while, as I don’t seem to feel the same pressures of regular posting on this one.
So as this comment seems to a sort of goodbye, I wish you all the best for the future.
