Sleepy summer

My lack of posts some months ago drove some of my regular readers elsewhere and I now enjoy comments from a small group of really great guys. It bothered me for a while but I now post when I have something to say and I don’t worry about site-traffic at all.
One of the side effects of this is that I have had hardly any sp*m at all these past few weeks and that, let me tell you, is a good(tm) thing.
I’m happy now and unstressed and I’ve just realized that the first post here was almost two years ago and was to say that was back from my holidays in Bali. Curious coincidence that my wife and I will be off to Bali again in early September!
Anyway, I digress.
Before this blog was activated I blogged on Livejournal for almost a year and made a website on my providers site as part of their free deal for their surfers. So I’ve been around a while now.
I’d like to do something special around the bloganniversary date of the 30th and am looking for ideas. I have a few already but I wanted to hear from you before I decided.
In any case I would like some mega-activity around that date with a spurry of posts and lots and lots of comments. It should be a party.
Any ideas?

Stu: My wife and I leave for Bali on the 15th of September for two weeks. Why, are you going too?

Actually, yes i am.. been planning this since christmas..
I am flying into bali on the 12th september but then flying straight to jakarta .. backpacking around java and planning to be back in bali on 20th for 2 days

Wow, we will still be in Bali on the 20th! What a coincidence! Hope you have a great time! Will you be visiting the Hindu and Buddhist temples in Jogjakarta while you are in and around Java?

Yes.. i am heading to Yogya .. i am aiming to see borobudah temple while i am there, but mostly i am visiting friends and hoping to improve my bahasa indonesia.
I hope that you have a great time too .. we’ll have to compare photos later

You don’t have tip where to go for a good price 2 day trip to visit the temples from Denpasar do you?

No problem! This is becoming a forum topic isn’t it! I would really welcome the info though as I would really like to make the trip to the temples on Yogyakarta while we are in Bali. I don’t think we will be going back next year. Now I have plans for Australia in early 2007 (I’ve been planning on going back since I visited in 1991 …)
